Hurry Slowly (Skynd Deg Sakte)

Drama
A warm slice-of-life film about Fiona and her younger brother Tom, whom she takes care of. We follow Fiona over a few life-changing summer months on the north-western coast of Norway, where she juggles the care of her brother, her job at the local ferry and her interest in music.
Programmer’s Notes: A contemplative and beautiful film. Hurry Slowly shows us what a life of quiet frustration and patience looks like. Every shot is deliberate and bursting with life and energy, even when all is still. We loved the breakout performance of Amalie Ibsen Jensen, a perfectly cast lead in this sparse but rich story by the Norwegian Sea.
