The Blueflowers

The Blueflowers is a alt-country, noir-folk band from Detroit whose songs are beautiful, dark, hypnotic, & moody, and sometimes evokes images of David Lynch collaborating with Quentin Tarantino. Lead singer Kate Hinote’s voice has been described as “cinematic and operatic, a mood-setting, mellifluous intonation that fits inside candle-lit lounges, late summer night fever dreams, or as a torch song from a surreal soundtrack.” Call it western-gothic, folk-noir, or surrealist americana, what we do know is that The Blueflowers have promised to bring their Lynchiest set to Bay City, and that sounds like a perfect fit for Hell’s Half Mile.
